Awesome Teen of the Week: Kelvin Doe Built a Radio Station

Teenager Kelvin Doe built his own radio station to play music and discuss local community issues under his moniker DJ Focus.  Pretty cool, huh?  What if I said he taught himself the electronics necessary to build a transistor radio and generator to power the radio station.  He also built his own batteries out of soda, acid, metal, and tin cans.  Having no money, he got all his supplies from scrounging through the garbage.   And that is not all, he is from Sierra Leone, a country in West Africa, that has endured 10 years of civil war and is still struggling with high poverty and unemployment.  Watch this video to hear his story.
